Founder: Coach Dean Lothian

Project One Goal was founded by Dean Lothian, a Chicago-based parent, coach and former semi-professional soccer player.

Dean is NSCAA-certified and has been a Master Soccer Coach for over 12 years, working with at-risk youth and providing coaching education to over 100 coaches each year. He is one of the pioneer coaches for the US Soccer Foundation Soccer 4 Success coach-training program and piloted the first urban soccer certification.

A native of Jamaica, Dean knows what it’s like to play soccer barefoot on dirt fields, sometimes even with a ball. He also knows how positive soccer can be in the lives of children.

Our Coaches: Leaders and Role Models

The volunteer coaches that help conduct Project One Goal bring extensive experience, both in helping players develop soccer skills and with working with youth—serving as leaders, positive examples and role models.
